Anotace

The course deals with the fundamentals of acquisition and processing of multimedia signals, in particular, with respect to the design of web and multimedia presentations.

Knowledge: a student knows the principles of acquisition and processing of audio and vidoe signal and graphical objects. A student knows the methods of lossy and lossless compression, especially with respect to multimedia signals.
Skills: A student is able to use the relevant means for acquisition, recording, processing, compression and publishing of graphics, audio and video signals.

Cíle výuky

Knowledge: Students know principles of recording and processing audio and video signal and graphic objects. They know methods of lossy and lossless data compression, especially related to multimedia signals. 

Skills: Students can use adequate means for obtaining, recording, processing, compressing, and publishing graphics, audio, and video signal. 

General skills: Students are able to elaborate a simple task using methods of scientific work (motivation, hypotheses, methods, results, discussion), they are able to present and defend the result.
